Dancing in the Light, greetings
Christos Hatzis, some of whose work we saw here in Vancouver last year, well on the way to becoming Canada's best known contemporary classical composer, has produced an amazing CD in Dancing in the Light - compelling, percussive, dynamic, and at times achingly beautiful and melodic. It adds up to exciting new music, it does, and probably another award or two. I don't know if I want to start rating cds, but if I did, I'd give this one a straight 10. It's just lovely. And A&B record store was playing it yesterday when I bought it. Should be played fairly loudly, I think.
